As a member signatory of the National Mine Action Strategy of Afghanistan (NMAS), DAFA is committed in achieving this vision. The path to a landmine- and explosive remnants-free Afghanistan hinges on addressing the highest-priority areas. With our deep ties to local communities, effective liaison and strong presence in high-risk regions, DAFA is dedicated to confronting these challenges head-on. By adapting our approach to each regional specific needs, we ensure the safety and security of affected communities while empowering them to reclaim their future.

At DAFA, our mission is to identify and eliminate life-threatening landmine and explosive hazards, creating safer environments for communities countrywide. Through quick response, innovative approach and priority-based planning, we are dedicated to saving lives and limbs, reducing risks and empowering every member of Afghan communities to thrive in safety and dignity.

Our values are grounded in the humanitarian principles of the United Nations, including humanity, neutrality, impartiality and independence. We serve to save and protect lives of all communities impacted by Landmine/and ERW throughout Afghanistan. Delivering demining services solely on need without discrimination in an unbiased manner. Acting autonomously, we address the human suffering posed by hazardous devices in an ethical and equitable manner, guided by compassion and respect for all.
